Ingredients of Taco John's

For the Beef Filling:

1 pound ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 packet Taco seasoning mix

1/2 cup water

For the Taco Shells and Assembly:

8 soft flour tortillas

2 cups shredded lettuce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup diced tomatoes

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup diced onions

1/4 cup diced jalapeño (optional)

Pour in the water and simmer for a few minutes until the mixture thickens Remove from heat.

Frying pan heat  1/4 inch of cooking oil over medium high heat.

Carefully place the tortilla in the hot oil. Frying about 10-15 seconds on each side or until it puffs up and turns golden brown. Repeat with the remaining tortillas adding more oil if needed.

Remove the frie tortillas and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Add shredded lettuce diced tomatoes shredded cheddar cheese diced onions and diced jalapeños on top of the beef.
